A full moon rises over Mr. Gay Cleveland Northcoast pageant

by Jimmie

The Mr. Gay Cleveland Northcoast Pageant was held at U4ia on November 10. Usually, this tends to be a snooze of a pageant-well, hon-ey, this night was different!

the crowd he was 22, his name was "Bill," and asked for help from the audience with the rest. Before leaving he managed to start stripping, and even groped himself before exiting. This set the tone for the rest of the night. Talent featured two singers, a trumpet

Melissa Ross, Jason Lau, Twiggy, Greg Lakota, and Mark.

The contestants were Kyle, Randy Austin, Rob Miller, Jason Lau (a.k.a. Maddie Sinclair-hello!) and the incredible “Bill.” The pageant is produced by MTM Productions, "MTM" being Melissa Ross, Twiggy and "Mark."

The opening number featured current Gay Cleveland Northcoast titleholders Patrick Steele and Erica Martinez performing "Unforgettable." This would be the key word for the night. Also performing were Jennifer Phillips, Twiggy, Melissa Ross, and Jessica Michaels. The categories were swimwear, evening wear and the ever-popular "talent.”

Presentation started off smokin'. Contestant number five came out smoking, and told

player, a dancer and Bill, attired in next to nothing, lubing himself up and groping, along with some mooning. I should mention that there was a full moon this night-outside as well as on stage. By this time I was paying full attention. Never have I been to a more riveting Mr. Gay Cleveland Pageant!

Evening wear featured four of the five in tuxedos, then Bill stumbled around and ended up (you guessed it) grabbing himself. After performances from countless others, Patrick Steele appeared for his final walk and performed Roy Rogers' "Happy Trails to You." Well, this was definitely the capper. Was this just a nightmare pageant? Or was I really experiencing this? Did I mention Desiré was there?

Anyhow, to finalize this pageant, all I can say is Jason Lau won the title, with Kyle as first runner-up. Bill came in fifth.

Late-breaking porn dirt: Chase Hunter, Ohio stud and Cleveland favorite, has two movies in the soon-to-be-released category. They are Riptide by Studio 2000, and in April, Download by Falcon Studios. Hunter is also in talks with Playgirl Magazine for a centerfold.

Sunday night, December 10, was the night for the second annual chili open at Rockies in Cleveland. The event was sponsored by the Great Lakes Leather Union, a group formed four years ago to raise funds to help people with AIDS. All proceeds from the event went to a Cleveland PWA food bank.

So with a strong stomach and an extra bottle of fruit-flavored Tums, it was out into the cold and on to Rockies. Considering the bitter temperature that night, a nice crowd showed up, and their warmth and enthusiasm more than made up for the weather.

There were nine entries in the cookoff, and for one dollar it was possible to sample one cup from three different contestants. The samples ranged from fiery warm to flame throwing hot. For the non-meat eaters, even a turkey chili was entered.

As the chili was being sampled by the panel of five judges and the audience, several raffles were held. The prizes consisted of donations from several bars, restaurants, shops and individuals. There was a prize donated from as far away as San Francisco. Also donated was some artwork that was sold in an auction.

Entertainment was provided by two local performers; Randy on trumpet and Bill on saxophone. They each did two solo numbers and then ended with a rousing duet of "Rock Around The Clock." All of the tips they collected were also donated to the food bank.

Billy, of Billy's on Clifton restaurant, who was last year's winner, took second place this year. The winner, coincidentally, was Rocky, the gracious host for the evening. The large wine and liquor basket he won will be raffled off at his annual Christmas party and the proceeds donated back to the PWA food bank.
